In alignment with CSI's mission to promote strategies that advance educational equity for Massachusetts students - particularly those traditionally or currently underserved, CSI is currently involved in the following efforts that directly support students:
A week-long program designed to accelerate student learning through rigorous, engaging lessons. Educators selected to teach at the Academies receive an honorarium, expert-led professional development, and are celebrated at an awards gala.
A $23 million dollar state-funded school integration program to expand educational opportunities, increase diversity, and reduce racial isolation by permitting students from Boston to and Springfield to attend public schools in other communities that have agreed to participate.
DESE allocates grant funding to cover most of the costs for low-income students taking AP and/or IB exams.
DESE partnered with Somerville Public Schools, Crafting Minds, Hill for Literacy, and the Grimes Institute to support teachers' instructional practices with elementary students needing additional reading support.
