The District Support team helps schools and districts use common indicators and tools to evaluate their practices and diagnose challenges in instruction, student support, special education services, and other areas. The state's accountability system also helps DESE direct resources and assistance according to a school's or district's level of need. School district supports include structured opportunities for teachers, administrators, and district leaders to engage in coaching, action research, facilitated work teams, professional communities of practice, networking, and other activities.
